Well now we step on shaky ground.
It is a Yamaha guitalele - basically a shortened guitar neck on a tenor ukulele sized body. It is usually tuned from A to A like a guitar with capo on the 5th fret. Chords are as for the small ukuleles but with 2 extra lower strings.
Some purists don't like it in the ukulele family -
but we have 8 string ukes, 6 strings ukes, banjo ukes, pocket ukes, soprano ukes, concert ukes, tenor ukes, baritone ukes, bass ukes and of course guita ukes.
A true purist wouldn't allow anything but soprano sized ukes as they were the original, right? Whatever you call it and whomever accepts it not withstanding, you play it well. Thanks for sharing.
