Half aware
Some things I thought were true
Were just not there
The reality I perceived
Was not at all
and set me up
For quite a fall
So I needed to take a look
Rearange my view
And try to start over
With a plan that's new
So here I go
on a different trek

It's my safest bet

Crap! It's that day again. Once a year we come to work to find that the Nashville cops have totally blocked off our road for their annual "we aren't really assholes day",(that's what I'm calling it). They set up a little fair in the church parking lot next door and try to convince the local kids that they are really good guys despite the fact the hassle the crap out of the teenagers every other day of the year. We never get any warning when they are going to do this and they block off the entire road when it's not necessary, pretty rude if you ask me.

Just paid my property taxes too. Two weeks before the due date, even! I am a model citizen!!!

I don't know about any voting in August here.
I paid property taxes in the spring. Ours is in two parts. One in the spring and one in the fall. I paid them both in the spring so I wouldn't have to mess with then anymore 'til next year.
