That is a nice tool. I've been doing mine in Photoshop, then printing out the properly spaced lines.

Got this idea from a Siminoff book some years ago. Just 4 pieces of a discarded band saw blade with the teeth ground off and the edges beveled. I cut the slots in the block with a fretting saw.

maybe mandolins can be ok with it what size are the nuts?
