What are some rock bands where bass players sing?

I can't think what they're called, but isn't (or "wasn't", perhaps) there some punk-ish band with a singer/bassist named "Fat Mike"? Is it NOFX?

Murry Hammond, the bassist for the Old 97's, sings lead on a few of their songs.

I actually like Murry Hammond's vocals better than the Old 97's regular lead singer. Murry has a solo CD called "I Don't Know Where I'm Going But I'm On My Way" that's worth checking out. He doesn't play much bass on it, but it's got a spare, haunting sort of Americana sound with lots of folk, country and gospel influences. It flew way under the radar, but I found it captivating in a way.

Oh! My former neighbor (whom I sort of got started on bass) is a Berklee graduate and bluegrass bassist/singer/bandleader. Here's a link to her website:http://www.ashleighcaudill.com/, and a link to a review of her latest CD (which is GREAT):http://bluegrassmusic.com/content/r...11/review-ashleigh-caudill-fruit-of-the-vine/.
Check her out if you like bluegrass. She has a fantastic voice, and I believe she wrote ALL of the songs on this CD. I have no official affiliation with her (other than having known her since she was about 10 years old), but if you're interested, you can buy her 2 solo CDs at cdbaby.com.

I don't know if anyone has already mentioned this one already but...Robin Trower's bass player sang lead on most of his songs. Robin just played guitar and sometimes did the "patter" at live concerts.
