This very rare late 30s/early 40s Gretsch American tenor ukulele is in near mint condition! The body is solid mahogany and the headstock and fretboard is beautiful Brazilian Rosewood. It has an absolutely lovely clear, warm tone and is wonderfully playable right out of the vintage case.
I say “Near” Mint because there are a few VERY minor flea bite-type dents and a VERY minor scuff along the side. I could only post 5 pictures, so feel free to PM me if you'd like me to send you more pictures!

This is my personal ukulele and I have taken extremely good care of it. I am sad to sell it but I never use it since I decided to go with a ukulele that plugs directly into a soundsystem. I hope it can go to a good home.

Asking $700 which includes shipping and handling.IMG_0667.jpgIMG_0672.jpgIMG_0681.jpgIMG_0678.jpgIMG_0685.jpg
As I don’t have time to hassle with returns, please carefully view all of the pictures and listen to the sound samples before purchasing. Thank you!

Here's a great resource with detailed info about this type of rare uke:

This is really worth bringing back to the top!
I have vintage Martin and Gibson tenors already, and the sound of old tenors really suits old songs (go figure!)
Could be psychological too, but I feel good with some functional history in my hands...
This one sounds fantastic - as does your voice (not so shy after all)
Great uke, great price - someone jump!!!

Amazing singing! Folks checking out this listing, take a look at the YouTube channel, good stuff.
Which baritone uke did you use in the recent video?

Thank you so much for your kind note! I totally agree with you on the bit about the vintage instruments being well suited to the older songs and it feeling "right"! I think I WILL go ahead and bring this back to the top if I can figure out how to do it. lol

Thank you so much for the swell complement and the shoutout! I used a 1950s Favilla on that most recent video. It's very light and I love the rich tone!
