1950s Yasuma TU-1 Tenor Ukulele. Light as a feather, sounds great and intonation is good. I’ve owned for about 15 years and played it alot. Lots of scratches, minor bumps, but crack free.
I had some worked done to it when I bought it. Action was high and my local luthier reset the neck. Then secued the neck with a screw (see photo). Hasn’t moved since. Near invisible repair as the plug and stain match nicely. Might have some saddle left to lower the action further if preferred. Turners are mismatch one out of the four. Not sure if they original are not.
Players grade, please see photos. A lot of body photos came out flat looking. The top and back look more like the photo of the side for reference. Period hard case included. Alittle large for the uke and some separation on material for wood. Happy to ask any questions. I have feedback here, Reverb, EBay under Bahama.blue.

Wasn‘t sure how to price the Yasuma as hadn’t seen one for sale in a long time. Accepting reasonable offers. Happy to answer any questions, more photos available. According to Chuck from the old Ask Chuck forum, he thought these were really nicely built. Think he had owed 5 over the years.

Blimey I love that. Just as well you don’t live near me in the UK, I’d be coming to try that out. GLWS

Inquiry about any belly in the top. About a 2 card thickness gap. If there’s a better way to measure or photograph it let me know. Thanks

Ever wanted 50’s Martin, but not have to lay out a lot of $$……price drop Monday

Nice price IMHO on a great sounding vintage tenor. 3 day trial period, just ask you pay return shipping cost.
Paypay F/F, Venmo, personal check accepted (must clear before shipping unless I know you).
Uke on!

Hmmm, thought this uke would have more interest. Players grade condition, but sounds very close to a 50s Martin tenor I owned and loved. Sold the Martin though and kept this one. Didn’t make “sound wise“ sense to have so much invested in the Martin when the Yasuma sounded near identical.
Lowest I’ll go, if doesn't sell soon will pull the ad.
Thanks

Any clips anywhere of how this sounds?
