Hi all, I got these two in recently from Goodwill. The Pacific Concert from goodwillfinds.com, and the Kailua tenor neck soprano from shopgoodwill.com, an auction site.

The Pacific cost me $57 with shipping, and the Kailua $64.

The Pacific is a very lightly built laminate, with strings similar to Aquila. Not certain. Going to put Martin fluorocarbons on it soon.

I have the Kailua strung up as a linear, in plectrum tuning. I used Martin baritone strings with a leftover C string, since I didn’t want the wound 3rd from the Martin set.

I had not seen such a long neck soprano before, so I was intrigued enough to invest in it to try out the concept. With 17 frets to the body I thought it would be great for setting banjo music on it.

The Pacific will fill the role of reentrant Uke for a while. It sounds and plays better than my Kmise soprano. ( also a goodwill Uke at $31 shipped )

The Pacific did come with a decent plain gig bag, also.

So far, so good!

I can see myself investing in a nicer tenor scale soprano someday. I really like the concept.

I’ve had good success with goodwillfinds.com so far. 3 guitars and a few ukes, all in good shape and good prices. You have to wait for sales or clearance to get the best prices, and be careful to check shipping before buying. Shipping costs vary wildly from location to location. I’ve passed on several otherwise interesting things because of high shipping costs.

Thanks for checking out my new to me ukes!

Pictures of the Kailua long neck.

I could not find anything on line about this. The only results were about a new Uke company using this name. This one looks like it’s from a little while ago.

Forgot to share this one here. Repaired a crack in the top. Have it strung now dgBe with high d and g strings.
