I noticed passing by Best Hawaiian Ukulele in Waikiki that they are now stocking some HUG brand ukuleles .

Not sure about it but ... Do we really need more $95 to $300 uke brands, lol,

or is it just me? gotta wonder how I'm finding time to think about this.

Maybe they had some small pieces of koa so they decided to make a few sopranos

Yes , it could be a production issue .
I saw this listed on one site as limited edition of 275 .
But I see it's still in stock online at many vendors .

Martin customer service says the S1k was a limited edition of 275 .
It is discontinued because it sold out .

Has anyone compared the voice of the S1K to the S1 ?

Since they seem to be pretty rare it may be tough too many who have played one. From the clip, it sounds quite good

Wonder how long remaining stock will last in the retail channel ?

Sold Out

I see the Life is Good Martin model is listed at Thomann for £387, including shipping to the UK. Rather less appealing than the price in the US, as expected (and not available through UK dealers at all I believe, probably due to licence restrictions). A pity, that.

I just spotted an S1K online, and pulled the trigger on it . . . it should be here tomorrow.
Be sure to post your impressions of it once it arrives!
