A potentially silly idea involving tennis bags

Yes, I could use a large rucksack—I do have a lot of camping gear—but I was thinking this might be a more elegant, less bulky solution. Although I've seen a double gig bag for tenor ukes it was comparatively expensive and I don't recall seeing an equivalent for sopranos.

For clarity, the sort of racquet bag I'm thinking of looks like this, a couple of mostly unpadded compartments with backpack straps:

Suspect I'll have to wait until I can get to town and take a uke along to check at the shop.
This one looks like a good solution for traveling with a couple of ukes, if you have the need. Of course, no idea how much padding, if any, is in there. Also probably way cheaper than a real double uke bag.

Might be cool to wield ukes in a gun case. I'm reminded of the old gangster movies where a violin case held a tommy gun.
Magic fluke used to have TKL soft case. The vectra looks pretty slick

These are sometimes padded to keep the racquets from chipping each other.

True, but it looks as if the cheaper non-brand versions, just like cheap gig bags, cut corners by not having a lot of it.

I'm not exaggerating when I tell you that my last tennis racquet was made of wood and the tennis balls were white. It's not a sport I've exactly kept up with.

However, I've noticed some of the racquet bags recently which carry like rucksacks and I'm wondering if they might work for carrying a couple of ukuleles. Would a couple of soprano ukes in basic padded gig bags comfortably fit in a racquet bag, making it easy to carry them both? Ukuleles and padded gig bags I have, but apart from trying to judge the fit from website measurements I have no way of testing the idea on a racquet bag. Any sporty ukulele players out there who could try, or maybe already have tried, this notion?
It all comes down to size and padding, and padding is easy to supplement. Look at gig bags. They're just padded bags of the right size.

I have several wooden rackets.

I always thought it would be funny to open a uke case at a jam and see a toy Tommy gun inside. "Whoops, I brought the wrong case." 😁

I noticed that a lot of tennis racket cases are only 29" long. Not long enough for baritones but smaller ukuleles would be okay.

The Rebel Gigbags are inspired from tennis racket cases.:)

I think my granddaughter’s fencing bag would hold a jacket and a complete change of clothes, pair of shoes, about 3-4 ukuleles, an iPad, an iPad stand, maybe a small folding chair, and is available with wheels.

“You killed my father. Prepare to die.” She’s working on a Princess Bride diorama for school and used Peeps to make Mandy Patinkin. It does not look like Mandy Patinkin, but it does have a sword.

Your daughter is awesome.

Yeah, it’s all fun and games till somebody shoots you. In another time that would be funny.
