The Wine Country 'Ukulele Festival is being held on September 11-12 in St. Helena, California. Has anyone been to this festival in the past?
Anyone planning to go this year? If so, what workshops are you planning to take? Are you planning to go the the James Hill & Friends concert on Friday evening or the Flora Springs Luau on Saturday night?

The James Hill workshops and the Steven Espaniola workshop are already full. I'm planning to request Kimo Hussey: Kani Ka Pila, Jim D'Ville: Playing By Ear, and Liko Puha: Hawai'ian Songs & Pronouncination on Saturday and Ralph Shaw: Intermediate Strumming, and Kimo Hussey: Master Class on Sunday, but any suggestions are welcome. I'd like to go to the Friday night concert, but I'm undecided on the luau. Any thoughts from people who've attended in the past are welcome.

I have not been to the Wine Country Ukulele Festival before, but I am going this year. I have signed up for the Luau, since I figure that is were a lot of the ukulele people will be, and we have tickets to the Friday night James Hill and friends concert in Napa. As for workshops, I wish I could go to some, but I have a booth to attend to, so I figure the concert and the luau entertainment will be a fun way to get some of that Uke Fest feel. If I could go to one workshop, I would choose the one about harmony. All the workshops sound great. It would be hard to choose.

I will be there at the festival. You'll find me on the Ohana stall.

I shall not be attending any of the workshops, but may well attend the concerts.

I'll probably perform a few things myself and I have planned to do some improvs with Kimo, Bartt, Russ, etc.

If you are there, come and say hello.

Yes, I've been looking forward to it since attending last year when I picked up my new custom tenor from Dave Sigman. Can't make the Friday concert and luau, but I'll be taking workshops Saturday and Sunday with James Hill, Del Rey, Gerald Ross, and Victoria Vox. I'm stoked!

I also tried to talk Jake into going when we saw him at the Napa Opera House in March, but I guess he's pretty booked up. A great lineup nonetheless!

Yea, I'll be there on Saturday . . . checking out the instruments and the entertainment. Ken, I'll swing by the booth to say "Aloha" and looking forward to meeting you. I'll have my UU hat on.

I signed up for workshops and will attend based on recommendations from a couple of ukulele dealers in the Bay Area who attended last year and were very impressed with the quality of the instruction and entertainment. I'll be in Calistoga Friday through Sunday and plan to shake hands with as many cyber friends as can be found. I'll be one of the guys wearing the orange, 40th Annual Hawaiian Uke Festival Tees.

I will be there as well.
Maybe we can get a UU jam going so we can all meet each other.
Lori will have her booth there, how about a sign in sheet?
See y'all there !!

I am stoked to have found out about this in time. Missed it last year. Bought my tickets for Friday night concert, will wander about the grounds Saturday and attend master classes on Sunday.

If you come to the Wine Country Ukulele Festival, make sure you drop by our booth and pick up a free 1" Uke Leash button. They are great for your hat, or to go on a Uke Leash, or maybe a case or t-shirt. I only have 250, so come by early! I love to meet UU forum folks in person, so drop by and say hi.
