Nah, what you see today is what you’ll see tomorrow.

Has your singing evolved over the years?

Yes; in the last 2 years, I finally figured out that I should sing in tune.

On a scale of 1 (least) -10 (most); how fortunate in life do you think you are?

I'd say nine. While not the richest nor the poorest, my needs are being met and all is well socially. That ultimate ukulele still eludes.

Has anyone asked about New Years resolutions yet? If not, what is it and how's it going?

Years ago I resolved to not make any more New Years resolutions, and I've stuck to that.

What's a good way to cheer yourself up, other than playing ukulele, (which always works.)

Yes, bought some art from a friend. It's a sketch he did of a pissed off looking old woman, I got her for motivational reasons. I like to imagine her staring disapprovingly at me, shaming me into being more productive. :D

Do you play chess?

I used to play chess a lot in high school. But, casually, not competitively. I find that putting a clock on it and taking it too seriously takes all the fun out of it. My wife doesn't like to play, and I don't know anyone else who wants to play. I haven't played chess in probably decades. :(

Let's say you're 10 years old and you have $2 (or the equivalent amount when you were this age), and you live within walking distance of a convenience store. What do you buy?

Nerds candy. Same as I’d buy now.

What do you do when you see a spider in your home?

If it's in a spot that needs killing, I ask my wife to kill it.

Do you like math puzzles?

I like Sudoku. Does that qualify as a math puzzle? I like to do one before going to bed, since it takes my mind off of other things and on to something unimportant.

What is something that you've been putting off doing, but should do?

I gotta learn how to play Guava Jam but stuff always gets in the way. (Stuff that's easier to play.)

What's your favorite ukulele tone wood?

I don't even like to watch "reality" shows. I do watch a bit of American Idol if I'm home at the time, to catch some music, but I hate the manipulation and anyone I like usually gets booted off.

I did know someone who was on "The Bachelor." I didn't know her well, but didn't think she was a good fit for the show. Sure enough, the one episode I saw, (someone told me to watch because we knew someone on there), she hung out in the background, didn't want to participate in whatever nonsense they were up to, she looked miserable, and she of course was booted off the show during that episode. (And looked relieved to be out of there.) I haven't seen her since, so don't know what she moved on to from there.

Would you want to be a celebrity?

Nooooo! Far from celebrity, but while I was the "head guy" of a local autocross club for the better part of 25 years, I put on motorsports events with 100-120 competitors up to twice twice per month. Mostly a regular crowd of 80-85 plus a bunch of transient noobs. That's as close to celebrity as I've been, and it was weird. Because I was "the guy" who organized everything, made sure everything got done, did most of the pre-event driver's safety briefings, answered questions, etc, etc, etc. Everybody knew me. But, I'm terrible with names, and they had me far outnumbered, so I didn't know most of them!

Nah, no interest in being a celebrity.

So, I was just doing maintenance on my internet router. Learned that I have TWENTY-FIVE devices connected to my network. How many devices do you think you have connected to your network? And if you can check... how many do you ACTUALLY have connected?

Among our devices:
Wife's work laptop
Wife's work iPhone
Wife's phone
Wife's desktop computer
Wife's chromebook
My laptop
My phone
My old phone
2 televisions
4 Amazon Echo devices
Smart Garage Door opener
9 Smart lights and/or light dimmer controls
Smart drip irrigation system controller

Crazy!

Back when I was a sysadmin I would check that kind of stuff all the time. Now that I'm retired I just let it all go. I could be carrying the whole neighborhood for all I know. (Just so long as my network doesn't slow down too much)

Any body have tacos yesterday for Cinco de Mayo?

I don't know that I've ever had a banana split.

This was our treat when I was a child:
When was the last time that you had a root beer float?
