What is there to be said about this builder that hasn’t already been said. One of the few makers that I can say, builds a modern vintage Uke. Because it definitely harkens back to old school ukes, like many other builders do, but uses very modern (new style) material in his approach to wood choice/combos etc. elegant but not over appointed or flashy.

This one is near mint.

Sample serial #580

Some months ago I picked up a Beansprout Tenor from a member of this forum. It immediately became one of my go-to players. @ZJS, I sent you a DM.

How does the alto compare to a tenor sized use regarding body size and scale?

The Beansprout tenor has a 17” fret scale is 26" total length. The Beansprout alto has a 14.72” fret scale and a 23.5" total length. The alto is described by the builder, Aaron Keim, as having "a body between soprano and concert size".

Thanks for the info. Sounds like fun size! For some reason, I saw the word alto and thought bigger!
