I have for sale a Blackbird Clara in satin sunburst that is in like new condition. Purchased in January from HMS for $1840. This is a fantastic ukulele that sounds amazing! However, I just can’t get used to the concert scale. I’ve tried but being used to guitar and only playing tenor and baritone ukulele the concert scale is just too much of an adjustment for me. So sadly I’ve decided to sell this fine instrument. As I said it is in mint condition with no issues whatsoever. It is currently strung with Thomastik Infeld CF30 and CF27 G and C strings and Living Waters E and A strings. The sound is amazing from this ukulele!!! Comes with the original Gator case that comes with Blackbird ukuleles. Will ship free to conus. Will come shipped in original packaging from HMS.

Also wanted to say this Clara does not have a radius fretboard. I’ve tried both and for me I couldn’t really tell the difference so I purchased it without the radius. The price reflects that as well.

Forgot to mention that if there is anyone out there with a Farallon in sunburst that they would like to trade plus some cash I might be interested in that. Let me know if interested. Thanks!

There happens to be a farrallon on the fleamarket music site!
GLWTS or trade!

Bump with the price reduced to $1,300 shipped to conus! Thanks!

Bump and price reduced to $1,250 shipped to conus. Surprised no one is interested so far. $600 off the price of a sunburst Clara that’s only a few months old in brand new condition seems like a great deal to me. Hopefully someone else will feel the same! This will be my last price reduction and bump. If no one is interested I’ll just keep it for now. Thanks for looking!

I’ve long been intrigued by the Clara, and wish I had (1) the money, and (2) the justification. Good luck with the sale, @mshep.

Thanks Teddy! Hope you’re enjoying that Moonbird!!

I've been trying to ignore a sunburst Farallon on Flea Market for a while now. Please buy it and get it outa my brain!

I noticed that your uke looks to have a black liner material on the inside of the uke. I pointed this out to Andrew when I tried a couple newer Farallons at TUS back in December and he hadn't noticed it. I had an older Clara a while ago that didn't have this feature and I thought it had a bit of a hollow or echo-y sound that I couldn't get used to. The Farallons in tried didn't have that sound and I was VERY tempted to pick one up!! I think it's a newer feature might help to absorb some sound and reduce the bouncing that caused the echo-y sound. Purely my speculation that got a "maybe" from Andrew! 🤔

I wish I could try yours to compare, but I'm definitely off the market. I bet it sounds great! GLWTS!!

Yea I’m not sure what you are looking at. The inside of the Clara is black because of the sunburst but it is just the inside of the composite. I know in 2018 or 2019 they changed some things on the Blackbirds. Maybe that is what you are referring to. All I know is this Clara has amazing clarity, volume and sustain. Not the least bit of hollow sound or boxy or thin sound. Honestly a very impressive sound from this uke. I wish some of my higher end tenors sounded this good!

Aha! Maybe it was my inexperience with the newer design and a sunburst model. For some reason, I thought the inside material felt different than my older Clara, but maybe it was just my imagination or perhaps the change in newer design. I'd love to get my hands on a newer Clara someday!

Do to a lack of interest I’ve decided to keep the Clara. Surprised no one wanted it at that price but that’s fine I’m good with just keeping it for now.
