This is an extraordinary instrument, and I am pretty conflicted about parting with it, but I primarily play sopranos, and I'm just not playing this one enough to warrant keeping it. I'm the second owner, and it arrived to me in truly beautiful condition -- and the Collings hard case is a thing of beauty in and of itself. Fits the instrument like a glove, and probably the nicest hard case I've seen.
If you're looking at this listing, you're likely aware of Collings', and this particular instrument's reputation. It's stellar. You likely also know that these are no longer being offered by Collings, and here's a chance to get an extremely clean example.
If you're a concert scale player looking for a for-a-lifetime concert, look no further. The playability is fantastic, and it's as light as a feather. Amazing build, and wonderful, clear tone from this mahogany masterpiece.
Listing at $1395, shipped, to CONUS only.
