So here it is: My Moore Bettah #907 custom concert ukulele for sale. IF the price is right 🙂
If i remember correctly it is from around 2010, but has only seen very light action so it still has the original strings. Comes with the case in the pictures.
If anyone is interested, pm me your best offer and terms, and we will see If we can work something out.

I hope that someone here on UU can be the new home for this beauty. It looks like a very special ukulele.
Waiting for someone's NUD here soon. :D

When I wanted to buy a Moore Bettah Uke, I took a vacation to the Big Island. While there I contacted Chuck Moore and asked to visit his workshop. He graciously invited my wife and I to visit his beautiful home and meet his lovely bride.
While there he showed me his workshop and what he happened to be working on at the moment. I arranged to purchase one of the nearly completed instruments. It was shipped to me a month later when it was finished.
That was a memorable experience that I will cherish more than any ukulele.

Hmm, i think i saw this one in an auction some weeks ago ( sorry if im wrong).

If i see the asking price ( and maybe its worth it) i should have pulled the trigger back then ^^

You did not. I bought this new from Chuck and have never put it up for sale anywhere else, except recently on finn.no - local site kind of similar to craigslist.

Wow.

Guys.

I do NOT want to have to lock this thread. The OP has a reasonable expectation of people behaving like adults. They've started their asking price, as we'd requested.

DROP THE GARBAGE HASSLING.

It is completely unnecessary.

If you want to make the OP a reasonable offer, do that. If not, and you have nothing at all constructive to add to this thread (e.g. if you figure out what the woods are, if you have a question about scale length or playability or want to request a different camera angle - those are all reasonable questions) then just stop.

You are worse than a pack of toddlers. Back off.

Sorry, I don’t really agree with deleting my post. I thought it was useful to mention that for me it is weird to sell such an expensive instrument without even providing the woods it is made of.
Sometimes, it is necessary to challenge some listings to be sure there are no scams. And many do it here very well.
My goal is to protect the fellows here by pointing at something very strange and not very reliable in my opinion.
This is an extremely important information and sorry if it hurts, I will be more explicite this time, in order to protect the community here, I find that even suspicious and not serious at all.
It’s not a $50 uke made of some unguessable materials.
An email to the luthier with the serial number should be enough to get this information.
Sorry again.

I'd deleted the OP's response to your original post. I will reinstate that here so that everyone can see.
Not everyone is a gear head, and besides, it has been a while since it was made. Do you remember every detail about every uke you ever owned? Sadly, my email conversation with Chuck during the build is lost too :(
The owner indicates that they no longer have this information. If anyone one is honestly interested in this instrument, they can investigate the serial number, too, the OP has provided that.

Without the necessity of bothering Chuck, I would suggest the the uke is obviously made of koa with an ebony fretboard and bridge, ebony or Indian rosewood bindings and a mahogany neck.😄
(Added: I am glad the woods are obvious because I wondered how you can tell the neck is mahagony and not the Spanish cedar that he used in many other ukuleles and that look similar to me).

This is a beautiful and rarely seen "for sale" ukulele here.

The woods and other pertinent details should be available, but it would be asking too much of interested buyers here to contact Chuck about it. I suggest that it would be more appropriate for the seller to do so since he made the initial purchase from Chuck and would have legitimate reasons to do so. I cannot imagine subjecting Chuck to numerous inquiries from members here (but if anyone does, please post it here).

Awesome, thank you! I figured it was koa, but I don't have enough experience to be positive. Much obliged!
