That’s which fret you’re on for each string in order to make the Dm7 chord. Jim is showing 3 variations of Dm7. First one is holding down 2nd fret on G string, leave C string open, 1st fret on E string and 5th fret on A string. Or…G: 2nd fret, C: 2nd fret, E:1st fret and A:3rd fret. Or, the third option for Dm7 is to bar all strings on the 5th fret.Forgive me, but how do you read the above notation?
