Gas?

When I played the violin, I never experienced VAS. And my husband, a pianist, never had PAS. What is it about mandolins, guitars, and ukuleles?

Edit: Accordions too? That would be AAS. If you were addicted to selling accordions, that would be ASS.

I never had the urge for more in my cello years, either. But I look at ukes every day and wish I were flush... I love music more than ever, all because of the ukulele.

I was imagining a banjo player, a bagpipes player, a balalaika player, a bandurria player, a bodhran player, a bouzouki player and a bass player sitting around arguing about what BAS meant.

BAS = Bad A** Singer. Strummer?
