I was sitting on the stoop, strumming my uke, as the pups were doing their business in the yard this morning when I recalled this episode about boring strumming. I had a similar conversation with a fellow uke'aholic who focuses more on fingerstyle play. I started grooving with my two chords and felt like sharing how I keep it fun(ky), so I came inside and recorded this little two chord strum sesh...

That's awesome and exactly what we were talking about when we said that you can make even two chords sound interesting just by changing how you play them. I think my favorite was what you played around 4 minutes. Makes me want to throw a lofi beat under it. The ending takes me back to playing punk in high school.

Oddly, after watching the UU pod I immediately went to picking the outer-inner, inner-outer, 1-3 or 2-4 (and the opposite) pinches.

Wow, what you ("you" being Lanzo) added is darned near commendable! ;)

<edit> It was like listening to a 60s or 70s 'concept' album.
Think, the "Stephen Stills and Manassas" album.

Thanks! I'll have to look into that Stephen Stills album!
