I found this site by accident. At almost 70 I've decided to learn the ukulele. I’m actually really enjoying it, although I’m new and only know a few chords. But, what better time to learn a new skill that’s fun! I was born in Hawaii, must be from my early memories of ukulele songs on Waikiki.

If 70 is the new 50 does that means I'll have to work longer before I can retire ?

Welcome to UU, HypermotardBMW!
The uke is the perfect instrument to accompany you on the couch, in the car or anywhere you want. They are small to keep around, so you can always hand one to someone if they show an interest. Good luck with your new hobby!

Welcome, the more, the merrier.
So cool that you've taken on an instrument at 70. Kuddos!

Thank you! I’m really enjoying the challenge of playing.

Hi HypermotardBMW. Do you drive a Roundel?

Welcome. I'm still learning ukulele at 72. It's fun and you can take it as far as you are able.

Enjoy the journey.
