I have several very nice slabs of spalted Silver Maple stickered and drying, ready to be further cut into a ukulele body. A project I plan to start later this year, it's some of the nicest spalting I've ever seen.Very cool creations! I sometimes feel bad when i see interesting spalting or flamey wood patterns while splitting firewood. But their warmth makes me feel better.
