Don't want to derail your thread, but found that an interesting observation as someone who is much more aware of what goes on in the guitar market than in the uke market.It feels like the market has shrunk here in the last few years, certainly for high end instruments.
Everything you say here is spot on I’m afraid.It is currently strung for a right handed player. I wish I knew why it was so hard to sell second hand ukuleles in the UK. I've seen here and elsewhere that some great and rare instruments at less than half the full retail price get offers from everywhere but the UK. People only seem to trust SUS when buying pre-owned in the UK and they don't buy back anymore, only offer trades. It feels like the market has shrunk here in the last few years, certainly for high end instruments.
Not just the UK, EU too since I moved... I'm done with my UAS and buying more ukes after I sell what I'm selling now because it's just ridiculously hard and you end up losing a lot of money.
