Turkey is rinsed, dried, kosher salted and back in the fridge. Skin will be lifted and butter and spiced will be crammed in tomorrow by Katie b4 its BBQed. Neck and gizzards in pan ready to slow cook all day for gravy. Not eating until 6 so Wendy can join us after dinner at her dads at 2, so I'll bake pies and rolls in the morning instead of tonite.

I am very tired tonite. I think I was anxious about my presentation a little. No work or school again until Monday. Mike and the kids home too. Going to cook, eat and sleep tomorrow. Friday we will be painting the bathroom and getting out our Christmas stuff. Should be fun.

There's this cool new gadget called a "Cell Phone", Don. You can actually call them EVEN WHEN THEY AREN'T HOME. Give it a try...very cool.

I think we've got a time set! These "cell phones"....don't the cords get all tangled with people moving around?

Nut, you've just given me an idea. Seriously. My issue with the politics, besides the nonsensical crap spouting, is that some of the folks in my family start talking about people in ways that are just plain racist and offensive. It is so strange. We weren't brought up that way.

There is no arguing with my family. If you don't believe what they believe, you keep your mouth shut. Or you can listen to them talk about how wrong you are, be told certain parties are going to Hell, then be given Bible verses to enlighten you.
Racism shows up every now and then too. I just leave the room. I can't deal with it anymore.

Ok, could not figure out how to section my hair off to allow a blue spot, so I just threw it on. Levi bought some stuff that is auburn, to which I told him it was meant for dark hair and in all likelyhood my hair will be bright red... like a misguided dye job, not an on purpose red. 15 minutes until wash out. This could be interesting.

We are starting at 3. Which for my family will mean 4... if I'm lucky. We never start on time.

That is what usually happens to us, but I have mandated that we eat at 12 this year, so I can stick with my eating schedule, and have a little of everything twice, instead of a huge gorging at one sitting.

HAPPY TURKEY DAY, PoHos!! I hope everyone has a wonderful day. We're due at my sister's MIL's place for dinner at 1pm, which works for me. We had a great time there last year. There was no argueing, no politics, no hassles.

If I'm lucky (and I usually am, in this case), my sister will bring me one of her pineapple cakes. She knows how much I love them, and she brings me one almost every time I see her. This is the best. cake. ever. It's easy to make (I have the recipe) but I love it that she thinks of me and brings it to me.
