Maybe you need Father Christmas to bring you a new one?

I'll survive until Summer I think. I post on one other forum but haven't been doing so since my laptop went down. Aside from that, I don't really do much on the internet that I can't do on my phone.

Good morning yall! Need to go to work, but it is cold and rainy and my bed has a heating blanket and Flea wanted to get under the covers and he would be disappointed if I got up.

I'd take a warm bed and warm dog anyday over a cold walk in the rain.

Same here.

The other kids start saying "James your dad is here. . ." and then he turns around and yells "PAPA" and runs over to give me a hug. A couple times other kids have said "EWWW!" when I pick him up and give him a kiss. I usually put him down and yell "you're next!" and chase after a couple of them. So far its worked in keeping it okay to give him a hug and a kiss in front of his friends.

I told my wife I'm totally doing that to him in high school too. I figure he won't be bigger than me until he's right around his senior year :)

This. Is. Flipping. Adorable! Very clever way to keep the hugs in public "okay". When my son was in first grade, one day he looked at me all serious and said, "Mom, some kids don't like to hug their moms in front of other kids but I think it is okay." It was so cute. He's now 14, I get one-arm hugs (if any at all) and he's about an inch taller than me. *sigh*

Waiting the last half-hour for my relief is always the longest. It's my Friday, so I'll be doubly glad when he shows up!

Well, we have raccoons in our garbage. And believe it or not, Saturday I saw an 8 point buck walking down my street. I live in the middle of town! No pics though.

I know for a fact Sally would NOT want to see the raccoons in your garbage unless they were dead...

34C here today :)

Currently with my bride in the "hunter valley" about 5 hours north of home. It is a major wine growing region. Bride's birthday tomorrow (28th) so we have taken off for a few days :)
Hope to catch up over the next few days! Got some photos of the local wild life that came out to watch us drink champagne :D

We were sitting there and she said "all we need are a couple of Roos to appear...." And low and behold!

Roos?? Tack, I didn't know you lived near the Five Hundred Acre Wood... :p

Also, shame on you for making the wildlife watch you drink champagne... I'm pretty sure Tigger would love to try time.

Out in my office now. Got a bowl of warm oatmeal to warm me up. Looks like Monday December 3rd will be 64... nice. Cant wait. It is Levi's birthday. I am terrible about planning stuff. Any ideas what I should do?

Levi is painting our living room. It looks good so far on his test strip. It is darker than it looks in the picture. Will actually hopefully make the room a little smaller (big room, little furniture). I am hoping it will get us on a roll to fix up our house!

Have to drive to Ann Arbor and back today.

One of my part time third shift staff died last night at her home. OD on prescription pills, from what we have gathered. She was a nice girl. :( She has a couple of close friends on staff so I anticipate a ripple effect.

I'm not really super emotional about that kind of thing. My reaction is usually "Really? Damn." And then we move on with the day. I know that sounds terrible, but I usually focus on logistics rather than emotions.
