We're keeping it simple with "garbage food" of Caspers hot dogs in sauteed cabbage. I don't what something thrown together like that would be in English. Okazu in Japanese. I think it means like a "side dish" to accompany rice but for Nikkei it has become a word for stuff thrown together for dinner . . . with rice
