Hi All,

I'm trying to learn Me and Julio from Uke Minutes #71. Among the chords for the song, Aldrine lists G and B7 but I don't think he describes where they come in. I'm guessing that I can just throw 'em in someplace to liven things up but where in the strumming pattern do they appear?

I've got the A (UU) D (DUD) A (UU) E (UDUDU) down fairly well so how do G and B7 fit into that?

Also, which tendon does this beginner 40 yr-old need to sever in order to play an E chord?

I can't help you ith the strumming pattern - I do all that by ear, feel, and luck - but I can direct you to this Chordie page:http://www.chordie.com/chord.pere/www.lindesign.se/uwp/guitar/s/paul_simon/me_and_julio.pro?1944-06-06=always&url=&tuning=GCEA&transpose=2

I transposed it into A, and it shows a B in the second line of the chorus.

As to cutting tendons, I have to laugh - I started playing Uke after tearing a tendon, and having the torn part cut out. (g) When I was 53.

But seriously, don't worry about it - either play an E7 1 2 0 2 (starting from the string closes to your nose). or use a barre 4 4 4 7, rather than the 4 4 4 2.

When you have been playing longer, and are more comfortable, then you can start trying different fingerings, and just use whatever you find most comfortable.

You can also use the "Cheat E" and just do a D at the 4th fret, muting the A string with your palm :)

As I've gotten more comfortable, and different things start sounding just fine, I also use an E6 - just barre the entire 4th fret.
