Sir Michael John Gambon, who played Prof. Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore in the Harry Potter films and Dennis Potter's character Philip E. Marlow in the BBC production of The Singing Detective, has died aged 82. Was there ever a better soundtrack? Sleep well, sir.
