Hi all,

I'm getting ready to learn the song Octopus's Garden by The Beatles. One of the most distinctive parts is where John sings underwater/ gargle-sings a bit in the middle of the song. I realize it could fit under fingerpicking, but my fingerstyle Beatles book doesn't have the song. So I'm needing the notes as well as which fingers should play the notes.

Mission impossible? ;)

Thanks so much,

Bunny

Do you mean where John sings ah ah ah ah ah ah, with a heavy tremolo effect? If so, the notes are (string/fret) a0 a2 e2 a0 a4 a2 | a0 a2 e2 a0 e2 a0 a0/a2 a0 | a4 a2. I wrote it out in 3 phrases. Listen to the recording I made, and perhaps it will make sense.

I played it for you here so you can hear what it sounds like.
I also played it with The Beatles here. It's the first time we all played together (no rehearsals).

I love Ukulele Underground! And you're amazing for providing this, my friend. ❤️. I should be able to play it this way when I start on the song next week (and I can't wait to grow my nails long to eventually learn uke tremolo!)
