I've gotten hooked on Flight ukuleles, but I think I have enough now. This one came from Thomann, in Germany. While the mango Fireball tenors were selling here for $675, Thomann had them priced at $479 plus $40 shipping to the USA. Although they didn't have one in stock, they sent it within a week, and shipping took just three days.

It seems that all of the better Flights come with a nice gig bag, a humidifier, and two extra batteries for the pickup.

Nice. I like mango ukes.

The Fireball is one of the better Fligt ukes, or so I'm told. 🙂

Since the uke didn't come through a specialist dealer, how's the setup?

I was waiting for someone to ask that question. I just measured the clearance at the twelfth fret - about 3mm.

My problem is that I watch reviews, and when someone gushes over a uke, I find it hard to resist. I can't count the number of ukes that Baz has "forced" me to buy. 😁

The Enya NEX-G is a great guitar, and I thought they would make a ukulele version. According to someone who posted here, they have no plans to make one. I was ready to buy.

So fairly high. To be honest, I was more interested in the action at the nut. 😁

HOLY POOP. That is a gorgeous instrument.

Good looking mango tenor. How's the sound? What strings do they use?
Love the side port design.

Congrats! Another winner for your stable.

Hi - thanks for sharing. Sure is a beauty! I saw that you feel you have exhausted your taste for flight but I think the SUS exclusive of the Flight Carabao is something special. Have you seen it? What do you think? Has anyone from UU tried one?

The Fireball has been on my want list, mostly because I like the looks. But how is the sound? Matt at WOU was a little iffy about it, but SUS seems to like it. And Baz has definitely caused me to overspend my ukulele budget. I'm waiting on a custom Beck right now, and I blame Baz....

There is a new SUS comparison of all uke. Sizes of Carabao that was posted today on YouTube. Quite a sound.

Thanks, I meant the Fireball. The Carabao post was made as I was writing my response to Jerry. But I'm kind of interested in the Carabao too, so I'll check that video out. 👍

I'm not a sound expert. All of my ukes sound like ukuleles. Some sound better than others, and this is one of the better ones. The less nice sounding ukes are mainly ones I've made. 😋

I like watching the Southern Ukulele Store reviews, but you have to realize that they are selling ukes. I wouldn't expect them to give their merchandise a bad review. However, they would not be selling ukes that they don't like.

What has hooked you on Flight ?

I had a chance to strum a similar OEM version of this one from Bright Sun .
Loved the feel of the neck and light weight of the headstock design .
Only noticed a very slight increase in volume from the side sound port .

What hooked me? I'm an easy target. 😁

Actually, the reviews have been glowing, and I love the looks. Sound? Yeah, they sound great.
