thank you for hosting, Ylle.
Those beanies are fantastic. I can imagine folks wearing them resembling walking lampposts with the informal place names on their heads. How brilliant.
Whoever came up with them is a genius who loves people.
here is a song I made up...it sounded horrible but it worked for me. It made me laugh.
I was feeling really depressed for a while and actually stopped having my showers. To not have daily showers in hot and humid Singapore is kinda serious....
I am not making fun of anyone suffering from depression. I can imagine how hard it is.
For me the motivation to shower came when I bought a soap I really liked- a sandalwood soap.
the scent comforted me and I felt better after a shower. it felt as if I had washed off some of my negativity or lows.
that
Dirt
Of
Depression....you know those cobwebs that gather around you like dark clouds?
(of course I had to wash myself on the days I had to go to work. One can lapse into total neglect if we don't have to leave the flat or house. So it makes sense to try to "force' ourself to get out and meet people...it may be difficult when we are feeling low, but I do think it helps.)
when feeling clean, I slept a little better. that helped too.
so, don't forget and underestimate the difference a small and simple action can help you feel better. Get up and have a shower!
Lyrics included in the YT video. :---)
(it would be awesome if someone can do this song in the shower. I tried to film myself today, but my bathroom has the wrong tiles. The reason I used that awful Waterman uke in this video was because I was practising for my shower version....)
