Thanks for a really interesting week, Ylle! Berries and Japan were a very fruitful combination!

There was SO MUCH good material to enjoy this season, Ylle. Thank you for hosting!
Congratulations to all the Seasonistas for a job well done. You all are so beautiful.
Thank you for sharing that beauty here in The Seasons.

Season 594 wrap

Hello again from Finland! :)
We have 90 songs from 38 Seasonistas on the playlist. There were fine and clever originals, classic tunes as well as totally unexpected songs. Great stuff, thank you so much, everyone! I'm especially happy that new Seasonistas joined us - welcome!

And the prize goes to... If you have listened to this week's playlist, you'll agree that picking a winner is practically impossible. How to compare apples, oranges and cherries? All delicious! Earlier I have asked help from the Hand of Fortuna, my mamma, my cats and random number generator. This time I asked from two "expert judges". They are highly qualified (One tries to eat 500 g (18 ounces) fruits and vegetables per day, like the doctors recommend. The other got lost in Tokyo in 1996.).

So, after a long evening with ukulele music, the judges said that Seasonistas are the coolest people on Earth.
And we have a winner - Emba. Congratulations! Emba brought two videos together with her family: Down by the Bay, directed by young sir Watermelon and I Love by Tom T. Hall, featuring a tomato.

Season 594 statistics
There were Japan-themed 20 songs. Berries and fruits were mentioned 104 times:

11 - banana and cherry
9 - apple and strawberry
7 - lemon
5 - tomato
4 - mango, raspberry and just "fruit"
3 - berry, pineapple, watermelon, grape
2 - peach, corn, blueberry, bean, huckleberry, cranberry, orange
1 - chili pepper, cucumber, elderberry, lime, crabapple, avocado, blackberry, olive, plum, cacao pod, coffee berry, kiwi, date, pomegranate.

Thank you all again! The Seasons are the apple of my eye. 🍎
Let's keep strumming for the "💯💯💯" Season 595!

@emba !!!!!! Huge congrats and well deserved!!! I hope the new uke gets much use as you replace the von Trapps and it eventually becomes a family heirloom (🍅 pun intended).

I am still trying to get through those tasty entries on the playlist, but I gotta say that these judges have good taste!
Thank you Ylle, for a fun, stimulating, and generous season.
Congrats to Emba for being top banana of the bunch!

Wow, thanks! And I agree, Seasonistas are the coolest people on earth!

I haven’t gotten to listen to all of the entries yet, or reply to some of the comments on my videos. I’ve got very limited Internet access this week, but hopefully by the end of the week I’ll get to them.

HUGE CONGRATS, EMBA (edit: got used to calling you Emba, Amanda😅)!!!!
Looking forward to seeing and hearing more of the gorgeous uke!

Thanks so much, Ylle, for such an awesome, fun week!

super fun week Ylle, thank you for it and for your generosity :)
and congratulations Amanda!!!

It sounds quite nice and I love interesting wood grain, so I love the looks, and so does Watermelon Head. We’re going to share it. He knows how to treat an instrument.

I am also very impressed by the gig bag, I think it’s my favorite gig bag ever. Nice backpack straps, two big pockets, one front, one back, and a little pocket inside the front pocket that is sized just right for a packet of strings.
