PSA: Mikel smith replied to my WTB thread. Seems the new angle is to find a member who is not active anymore, use their name as someone who has whatever we want to buy, then tell us to email them.

If someone has what you are looking for, they will should post it in UU Marketplace with a picture of the item including a visible piece of paper showing their UU name and current date.

Just report the account and move on. The scam accounts are multiple and frequently recycled. Posting multiple threads about them doesn't help since the account won't last.
