SOTU 574 -- "You Gotta Have Heart"

I haven't posted for a while, due to some arthritis in my hands, I haven't played my uke for a while.
This song should be here so I gave it a try. Sorry, I forgot to say the season #.

Talking of songs of the heart, I just randomly remembered an incident from my early 20s...

I went to my local credit union to deposit some savings, and oddly, there were heart symbols everywhere.

I asked the worker in there 'Why are there hearts everywhere? Is it heart attack awareness day?'

She said no, it's Valentine's, and we both fell about laughing.

I had somehow managed to not notice that a) it was February 14 and b) heart symbols are usually associated with love, not mortality :D

Cold, Cold
❤️
Heart Hank Williams

"Another love before my time made your
❤️
heart sad and blue and so my
❤️
heart is paying now for things I didn't do
In anger, unkind words are said that make the teardrops start. Why can't I free your doubtful mind and melt your cold, cold
❤️
heart?"

Well, I finally got one... It has been about 4 months since my last video.

We still aren't in the house, although some work has been getting done... Finally found a cabinetmaker to build a cabinet for the double oven.... and the furnace replacement should happen sometime next month... (crossing fingers). the floor company told us that they would be installing the sheet vinyl in the basement "next week"... but they told us that 3 weeks ago...

So here's a video recorded in that wonderful room with the natural echo..., for Season 574. It was orignially recorded by the Mills Brothers, but I learned it by listening to Spike Jones and his City Slickers.

Every time I hear Ken Boothe sing these beautiful lyrics from Bread, my heart gets a little better...
And I would give anything, I own
Give up my life, my heart, my own
And I would give anything I own
Just to have you
Back again
...so I'm singing them for y'all.

May your heart be strong, kind, and full of love,
Ralf

Seventy-four videos! Wow! That was fun. I have decided that while many of the entries were splendid, one in particular made me smile, so the winner this week is TBB for her masterful composition and mustachioed performance. Kudos!
Thanks for the week, Ila, and congrats to the worthy winner ... you can't go wrong with a moustachioed performance; I speak from experience!

Thank you so much! It was a really fun season 😃

I’m feeling most encouraged by your appreciation of my hirsuteness, I shall be working on a full beard forthwith!

It's ironic, I am writing a song right now titled 'a knife to the aorta'

Such a shame I didn't think of it a week ago

Kev and I performed Dreams originally by Fleetwood Mac. Thanks to Kev for adding his baritone, awesome solo, vocals and mix. I played my soprano uke, sang, and made the art and video. Hope ya'll enjoy.

pure magic.

Thanks for the week, Ila! Great choice for the winner.

I'm not done listening to the playlist, but it was a fun season, Ila. Congrats to Victoria, and welcome to Bill (bkobabe)!
This week is half term over here. That means that the children are off school, so when they don't need me, they are probably logged on a device I'd use to listen to all your entries. But I will catch up!
