New Uke Day (NUD) Sweet Sixteen

It's official . . . as of today I have been playing the ukulele for exactly 16 days! I thought that I deserved a present for this tremendous accomplishment, so I went out and bought this Martin OXK. Hopefully, this one will last me for a while.

Usually, I have been underwhelmed with the appearance of the koa Martin uses, but this looks most excellent. I like the way the fretboard matches the look of the sapwood stripe on the sound board. Very nice.

I hope the strings settle for you quickly.

Congratulations! Can't wait to see what you get for your 1-year milestone.
