For sale is my Takumi TS-1K koa soprano ‘ukulele. This is a great opportunity to pick up a wonderful soprano.

Specs are as follows:
  • Takumi TS-1K koa soprano
  • Solid koa top, back, and sides
  • Solid mahogany neck
  • Rosewood fretboard and bridge
  • Ebony nut and saddle
  • Goths planetary geared tuners
  • Simulated tortoiseshell binding on top and back
  • W/B wood purfling on top
  • B/W/B/W/B wood soundhole rosette
  • Side and fretboard dot markers at frets 5, 7, and 10
  • Overall length: 21 1/2”
  • Scale length: 13 3/4”
  • Body length: 9 1/2”
  • Upper bout: 4 3/4”
  • Waist: 4”
  • Lower bout: 6 3/4”
  • Body depth: 2 1/4”
  • Nut width: 1 1/2”
  • Fretboard width at 12th fret: 1 3/4”
  • String spread at nut: 1 1/8”
  • String spread at saddle: 2 5/8”
This ‘ukulele is a joy in the hands with its exceptional setup, and it produces a mellifluous tone with clarity, projection, punch, and warmth. I’d characterize its overall voice as quintessentially traditional

The condition is good but not excellent; there are a few dings. I’ve done my best to document them in the photos.

Asking price is $SOLD US shipped CONUS, and I am receptive to offers. Uke will ship well-packed in a Rock Case hardshell case or ProTec CF216 gig bag (I recommend the gig bag; it’s a nice gig bag). I would be glad to ship the remaining case and an Ingles violin stand at buyer’s expense for no additional charge. I’ll also throw in a few packs of strings.

Nice! These don’t show up very often in the secondary market. GLWS.
Thank you, Patty.

These are uncommon in the United States, exceedingly nice, and are generally undervalued relative to ukes of comparable musical quality. I have been hesitant to part with this one, but the time has come for it to find its next caretaker.

Turn that pending into sold my friend. This literally is THE uke I have been looking for since I had the concert for a while... Guess when I get home I am going to need to sell a Martin or Kamaka, or, not, lol
Relieved this one sold. I too once owned a concert Takumi and have often pined after the sopranos since selling it. I had an “Ill take it” PM typed up to the seller as soon as this posted yesterday but resisted sending it. Glad someone else was able to grab it before I gave into temptation.

These are rare and very highly regarded - and this is a great price! GLWTS.
