The Headstock Thread!

I forgot to mention I want this headstock because all the back-mounted UPT tuners will turn in the same direction. I don't ukes with the guitar-style ears; I like my tuners hidden to keep the headstock streamlined. And of course I would be a liar if I said that just having a somewhat unique headstock doesn't appeal to me.

C'mon @donboody you've gotta stab someone with that headstock if yours! Or, at least, flaunt it

Want to add that I did not apply a filter to the headstock, it’s just that clean! I clean this uke every couple weeks with music nomad ukulele cleaner when I don’t feel like playing but want to engage my uke. Cheap and effective.

Here's an oddity. Back in 2011, I made a novelty soprano ukulele inspired by the Kabosy instruments of Madagascar. I decided to use an almost flat headstock with a zero fret and an upside down 'nut'. The tapered tuning pegs were carved entirely by hand - not a task that I would recommend but they work OK.Ukabosy headstock - April 2011.jpg

Very cool. I’d love to see a pic of the whole instrument.
