New Monday Podcast, Traditional Tone Vs Modern Tone, Concert Upgrades

Which Ukulele Players have the best tone? On the first Monday Podcast, we're grilling Aldrine on who he thinks has the best tone in the Ukulele World. Aldrine narrows down his list to 3 (with some honorable mentions), and includes examples for when these player's tonal qualities shine. We move on to a couple of questions about upgrading to Concert Ukuleles, and what someone should learn after the basic 4 chord songs? Aldrine also talks about reusing strings, and learning to pick for the first time. The podcast is topped off with a reminder of the upcoming UU Seattle Tour.

I enjoyed most all of it, but Aldrine's demonstration of "picking" (1:06:40 - 1:09:00) as though you were holding a pick with thumb and forefinger, but using the index as the pick, was a "bingo" moment.

@Aldrine Guerrero

When you guys are in Edmonds, you'll be close to this butcher shop in Mountlake Terrace that has a couple aisles of hot sauce!!

Double DD Meats!

Also happens to be next to a bakery with amazing pies and cookies on one side and a small brewery on the other. If you hit me up, I'll buy ya a cookie and a beer! 😉 I'll skip the 'Red Rectum' hot sauce tho. 🥵

And doing the west side route taking the Edmonds-Kingston ferry to drive down to Port Orchard means the chance to stop at the Kingston Alehouse for smoked salmon chowder! Friday is “French Dip Friday”, too, until they run out. https://thekingstonalehouse.business.site/
