If you're considering a new guitar, Cordoba makes some nice instruments that are well below your max. price. I have a Cordoba Orchestra CE (a crossover classical) and my wife has a Cordoba C9 traditional classical. Both are excellent with great sound and playability.

Larry speaks the truth!! I’ve owned a C5, and currently own a C7. Great guitars for good prices.

I have had several Cordoba guitars and they are "OK"
I have an excellent GV Rubio for sale for about that price that is significantly better and will have better resale as well.
If you search Reverb, you will see hundreds of Cordoba guitars listed, and very few GV Rubio.
Also the Rubio is made in the USA and not China....
