I've been playing uke for about 8 years, though I've been playing guitar a lot longer. I found a uke is easier to just pick up and fiddle around with when I'm sitting at my computer and thus I'm getting more practice in. It's also easier to transport around. I just picked up a Risa electric and love it! Here's two of my ukes, including the new electric. I also have a Lanakai and a banjo uke.
