I'm going to a uke event in Voorheesville, NY in May, and the ticket includes a Lil' Rev concert the night before. Someone suggested getting an Airbnb, rather than a $100+ hotel for the night. What experiences do any of you have with Airbnb? They do have some good prices, compared with hotels.
We havn't used airbnb but we have used VRBO several times. Every experience has been super positive. We have always scored a one or two bedroom condo for far less than a comparable hotel room. Check them out.

We use AirBnB all the time, all over the world. It's so great to have a living room in addition to a bedroom for our different bedtimes, or a kitchen where you can make your own coffee and breakfast. A whole apartment is often less than a regular hotel room.
The fact that you can see other customer reviews is SO helpful, and really lowers risk.
AirBnB has also started to offer "experiences", and I'm looking forward to some intrepid teachers and performers offering uke events!
