Does anyone know anything about a tool for attaching a twinspot pickup in a uke body? It is easily done in a guitar, where you can get your hand in and out of the sound hole, but not so much in a tenor uke. I am asking on behalf Of Roger Skipper. Here it is as he asked me:

Have you seen anything about the twinspot pickup installation? Mike Broderick said he saw a tool to which you could attach the elements, then detach it after they were in place, but I can't find it anywhere. It's really tough on the uke, because I can't get my hand in the hole, and my finger's not quite long enough to reach the bridge plate with any confidence that I'm in the right location.
Many thanks,

I'll get a lot of disagreement on this I'm sure, so take it for what it's worth. Because those pickups can be so hot I like mounting them away from the bridge and more toward the outer edge of the bout.
(I haven't installed one for quite a few years, they may be better now)

Thanks, Chuck. Certainly worth trying on the next one.
