What do you use the lip balm for?The toenail clippers I love it, keeping it real folks. My uke corner and string kit is a big ball of mess. It's not a grow light (I don't have the room!) I just like the color lol

Well, that sure feels nice... My first time polishing frets and oiling a fretboard. Thankful for this thread! This is perfect timing! I just purchased some fretboard oil and now it seems I'll need some fret wire cleaning supplies. I've never been so excited to get cleaning supplies!

Ooooo.… Just looked it up on Amazon & ordered a couple. “Pleasant vanilla scent”. Yay! Next time I change strings ….Cape cod cloth works great for cleaning/polishing metal...watch nerds will know what that is.
You just need a small piece...you could do an entire uke with a 1" x 1" square. I like to protect the fretboard (painters tape would work but I use sticky notes, lol) cuz they are kinda oily feeling.Ooooo.… Just looked it up on Amazon & ordered a couple. “Pleasant vanilla scent”. Mine were pretty grimey, so i got a set of fret erasers and these polishing papers, based on the prior post from @Wiggy . Now I might hafta get some cape cod cloths for next time!Wow, looks like new!
PS: How did you clean your fret wires?
Cape Cod cloth should smell like lobster or sea crabs not vanillaOoooo.… Just looked it up on Amazon & ordered a couple. “Pleasant vanilla scent”. Yay! Next time I change strings ….
I just imagined an entire string change kit based on crustaceans. Scissors that look like a lobster claw and maybe crab oil for your fretboard.Cape Cod cloth should smell like lobster or sea crabs not vanilla
The glass of wine comes in handy too.My string box and the hook Peter Hurney included with Pohaku ukes.

For sure Patty, although that was coffee and maybe not the best thing to swill when trying to snag a string through the sound hole. The glass of wine comes in handy too.
I have a number of different stringed instruments, so my kit contains strings for guitars, banjos, ukes, dulcimers, and bouzoukis.
I have had the same kit for probably 30 years…
