A low number IZ Martin Tenor. I am second owner. Beautiful instrument, play great, sounds wonderful. Look at all
pictures. NO returns, no international shipments. Virtually unplayed, living most of its life in a case. Need a new home and be played.

Remarks.
-Top sound board has been buffed to showcase the beauty of the quilted Mahogany figure.
  • Strap holders installed
  • Waist binding repaired, it had lifted is two tiny spots, it is stable now.

Priced accordingly at $900 plus $50 to ship “as is condition“ …. Pay by Paypal. New ones go for over $2000.

Bottomline…… if you want a high quality beautiful Martin limited edition, that plays great and sounds great, with few tiny imperfections that do not
impact the overall experience and joy of ownership, for less than 1/2 the price of a new one, this may be the ticket.

thank you

A couple questions - pic 1702 and 1703, are those after the repair? And also, who did the repair work?

Thanks!

Hi, Yes, after the repair.
Who did repair work,…me, I am a woodworker, a few drops of wood tite wood glue and a few clamps. I have built ukuleles, (see pic) …The binding has shrunk a tiny bit while in the case, even though it was always humidified. Not uncommon I hear.

Here is the deal, you “Can“ spend $200-300“ to get it repaired by a luthier, but it may look “worse“ when he is finished because they will remove the entire binding in the process and it becomes a much bigger project that may or may not impact the side wood finish.. Too me, it looks fine as it, but whoever buys it can do as they please. Sold as is for that price.

So the old Martin binding problem is not unique to just guitars. I guess that shouldn't be a surprise. It's certainly not the end of the world, but it shouldn't be happening as much as it does.

Still looks like a good deal on a good instrument.

@uketanzon I took the liberty to edit your post to show as Sold. Please let me know if this is not the case.
