La Vie en rose, a popular french song written in 1945.
Played on a Kinnard tenor ukulele. Martin polygut strings. Tuned a half step down.
This is one of the earlier songs I learned a few years ago. There are quite a few barred chords in the song. So out of curiosity, I tried playing the song in different keys. and it worked pretty well. Since then, the way I play this song has morphed over the last few years. Now I have been using this as one of my routine songs to play when I need to evaluate a new uke, since I know what to expect. I get to test out the whole range of the neck. In the video, the song was played in 2 keys, the last 2 harmonic notes were played on the 17th and 20th "fret".
