Aloha everyone! I have decided to sell off my three main ukuleles in the hopes of turning them into one very very precious ukulele. There is nothing wrong with any of my instruments other than the minor signs of use I may indicate. I've just got my eye on something I really really really want! With some funds and a little luck I'll hopefully be doing some nice and slightly more serious recording by the start of next year!
This listing is for my Martin T1K tenor ukulele. This is made of all solid Koa and, I imagine, is probably one of the best selling all Koa ukuleles by volume. Everyone knows Martin and their sound is beloved both on the islands and mainland. This was purchased new by me in late 2021 locally at Portland Music Company--they had actually just gotten the instrument in earlier that week. I also took this to a local luthier, Portland Fretworks, and had them complete the setup of the instrument as well as fret dressing. Very easy to play, great sound and intonation of course. Very minor signs of any wear, excellent condition. There is a minor blem of a filled-in drilled hole for a strap button, but is on the back on the instrument and generally not noticeable unless closely inspecting the instrument, as shown in the photos.
This instrument has an extremely warm and punchy voice. Lots of 'pop to the strings and a very nice dry woody tone. You should be able to hear exactly what I mean in my recording. Recent sound sample recorded from iphone, no additional audio effects.
I'm happy to redo the verify photo, but if I can use this one because it's already pretty I appreciate it lol. This ukulele was moved from my FOR TRADE thread as I have decided to try and sell, as noted above. I only have one shipping box on me at the moment so maybe I'll sell one at the time unless the market is really slow rn.
I've been around the forum for a while and have bought and sold here, please feel free to check my profile history and I'm happy to answer any questions folks might have.
Cheers and mahalo!
