After insisting I buy the electric Makaio for myself for my birthday, my wife snuck off to Island Bazaar in Huntington Beach and picked up this beauty for me. Apparently while I was trying out different instruments and she was looking bored, she was just taking notes and my description of this uke as "the first ukulele that I ever really lusted after" was all it took.Gorgeous instrument. Sounds wonderful - super jangly and very resonant. Of course, several hours of fiddling around with the tenor I got yesterday now makes the neck feel way more crowded, but it's amazing and I need more sets of arms.
