Season 625 - This Season is for the Birds

Hello and welcome to Season of the Ukulele 625!

Back before I actually participated in the Seasons, I lurked a lot. When I was working my courage up to participate, there was a season with birds as the theme. I chose a song, practiced it, but just didn’t get the nerve up to post a video.

I think birds are nice, and I sort of birdwatch, just enough to identify the birds I see around me, so I’d like to do another Season of birds.

Any song in which the lyrics or the name of the band mentions a bird is acceptable (this can be the word “bird” or “birds” or specific species such as crow or bluebird or what have you).

Original songs are welcome and encouraged, with birds in the lyrics or title.

If you’ve never participated in the Seasons of the Ukulele, feel free to make a video of whatever song you want to, whether it fits the theme or not.

I ask everyone to limit their submissions to a total of three for the week. An elderly family member broke her hip and I’ve been busier than usual helping her and her husband, and this week will be more if the same.

The contest starts Sunday February 4 at 12:00 a.m. (Hawaiian time) and ends Sunday February 11 at 11:59 p.m. (Hawaiian time).
